Lotta universally acclaimed stuff; nothin' wrong with that, but I like to find the lesser known stuff on people's charts. Check out Pixies' Bossanova if you haven't already.

NathanTen: ...okay? You copied a comment I made about someone else's chart. Do you feel the same way about my chart? I don't think you do because you gave my chart a 75 instead of 70. If you do, though, may I ask which selections you find arbitrary/bizarre or which features of my chart you feel the comment applies to?

The order I've placed the albums in is very close to the order of how much time I have spent listening to them. For instance, Is This It is placed at #1 because I've listened to that album almost daily over the last few years. The reason I made the comment on that user's chart was that there was no way in hell the decisions in their chart were backed by years of listening to music like this and I honestly felt that they took a "breadth over depth" approach to listening to music. I don't know how well I can explain this, but one example I can think of off the top of my head is that they placed the new Atoms for Peace album somewhere in the 50s (at some point in time, they may have since changed it) with the comment "I like Radiohead and Thom Yorke's stuff and this too" or something similar. To me, that seems more like "I like this kind of stuff, I should put it on my chart" than "I've spent some time listening to this and I can say from lots of listening that has a type of quality which holds over time." That's really the feeling I got from the chart in general, and though I may be completely wrong, I can only post my opinion. : /

eh.....
"Meh, To me, this chart feels like it was made by someone who methodically listens to every album thrown at them, but maybe only a few times. I'm gonna guess the author isn't very old and is listening to as many different albums as they can in an attempt to learn what they do and do not like and assmble a vast collection of music they really like.

This is all fine, and it's how most music-listeners start this hobby. However, it leads to very bizarre, arbitrary, and artificial opinions like many found on this list, as the listener hasn't spent enough time on certain albums to appreciate some of their finer aspects and is often more attracted to albums with the most striking qualities (rather than those with the best ones; see "Strawberry Jam," "Get Behind Me Satan," and half of the albums in the top 50) as they're the ones which are most easisly remembered after having consumed so much music in such little time" LOL

All that being said, it's clear to me that the chart's creator loves music and has a wide variety of musical tastes, something I can definitely respect. Therefore I give this chart a 70/100"

Looking forward to more selections, and I'll amend my comment. Your chart looks incredibly promising.

I love the inclusion of the more, purely simple and clean music music to highlight some of your more complex selections, specifically the progressive stuff.

I love your chart very much!!

when I first saw your Number 1 is "Is This It". I thought your chart could be very post-21Century central. but after I saw all of your chart. I knew my first glance was wrong. very nice and I'll wait till you expend your chart!
