Top 50 Greatest Music Albums

In some respects, I am treating my chart as the last shuttle out for good music before the bomb of industrial musical schlock comes and destroys everything else. That being said, I feel like I'm killing my favorite children off when I leave out a classic because I must make room for other artists. If I had my way, every Beatles album and several Dylan albums would be on here, but my desire to show off the lesser known awesomeness I discover requires me to limit my musical gluttony to no more then three by the same artist.
Please, input and opinions are desired! :)

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 81.4/100, a mean average of 78.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.8/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 11.8.

I tried to put stuff in my chart that you mite not find in a lot of charts but I love nonetheless and feel they are very fine . Like you I love the Beatles and Dylan but only put two of each in it and no Bowie who I love also.
I agree, I like your chart.
Agreed, I find I have minimal patience for music with flowery production but zero sense of melody or flow. I think it shows on this chart. :P
I have a degree in classical piano but obviously like all kinds of music..I think that it changes the way you listen to music if you play an instrument and it is something that you always have.
Ffudnebbuh, it sounds too superfluous to say I'm a guitar player, for it seems EVERYONE "plays" guitar. I love a lot of instruments; anything with the ability to produce multiple notes which can form a chord to contribute to song structure. :) What about you?
like your chart, what instrument do you play?
St. Vincent's actor makes this a valuable chart
Eclectic and very good. I agree the Beatles and Dylan are great so howzabout using some their picks to add more artists?
Goodgoodgood
