Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 80.1/100, a mean average of 76.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.1/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 15.1.

This chart is really unique, and in a good way. I've heard about half of these and pretty much almost all of those ones are listenable. There are a few stellar ones and a few I don't understand being ranked that highly, but all in all, this is a good, original chart with some unique picks. Nice to see Mutations on here, Marquee Moon, others.

This is an awesome chart even if I didn't recognize a couple of bands, eels, happy mondays and psychodelic furs are superb choices and of course joy division's closer, definetely different but it clearly reflects your taste in music and in this case I think is remarkable

yes good point Moleman about spreading the years about.I like a lot of music from all years 60s,70s,80s and so on it just seamed wright to put these albums in the chart. There not in any order relay except revolver and ok computer but that could change. I have over a thousand vinyl plus the same in cds and then downloads. It could do with been a top 100 chart.

Love Throwing muses, "Honeychain" is one of the all time great tracks..for those who haven't heard it..check it out. I haven't heard many of the albums in your chart, so I can't rate it.

I see you must be a 90's -person...but we have 2 of the same LP's on our lists, plus several other bands- I could have picked Grren, REvolver, White Album, etc. but I wanted to spreasd my picks around, since we only get 50.
