Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

You have many generic indie charts on this site, but having a classic rock chart also doesn't really have that 'eccentric' impact. Of course, it's all your taste and I respect it.

Plenty of classics, and I like some of the abnormal picks here (do I spy Steven Wilson down there?)
Also, Innuendo's great, and I'm glad to see it so high up!
It's not bad for a start - but it's in desperate need of some diversifying. Folk, Jazz, Blues, Noise, Soul, Punk. Live a little.

I have a big weakness for Queen too (my first favourite band), but I can't stand their discography from News of the World to Miracle. Innuendo is at the level of their first albums though.
Good to see now some Banco albums. Try give a listen to Io Sono Nato Libero - their masterpiece I think, and one of the mastepieces of Italian prog with Area's Arbeit Macht Frei.
I can't stand the Miracle in top 10... Still lots of good albums.
