A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Nice chart - though certainly a little safe (1-26 of BEA's best of the decade all appear here). Would be nice to see some more of your obscure favourites; there's undeniably a lot of great albums here but very little of your personality! Maybe some notes would help amend that ... ?
