Update on 6/15/20 for the first time since 5/16/19. Honestly after glancing at my chart I decided to just start fresh by putting it all in the trash bin so I don't let it influence the list I've been working on for a couple weeks. Should be interesting to see the major changes.

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

God I love so many of these albums. Great to see Desertshore and Hex among more established classics. Some notes would perfect this for me!

I saw someone use the word eclectic and that description suits this chart perfectly. Jazz, electronic, hip hop, indy, alt rock, post rock, folk, classic rock, punk, death metal/metal, psych pop, prog, R&B/Motown. I couldn't possibly connect that deeply with each genre as I have too many albums that I feel are masterpieces in my favourite few genres. But it's charts like this that demonstrate a broad love of music and I commend that. Loving the Cave and Burial respect too.Would love some comments on your choices.
