GraceUnited States Jeff Buckley
The dark angel, sitting on the lonely black rock of a vast, windswept desert, with grains of sand whirling all around, is singing for the broken hearts and lonely ones.

Kid AUnited Kingdom Radiohead
In the darkness, one may lose the sense of his being, one may disappear completely. But not here. I've never heard so much hope between the lines of despair like the ones that Yorke spells.
This album changed the way i perceived electronic music, from the music of parties to the music of complete experimentation.

At Fillmore EastUnited States The Allman Brothers Band
There's a lot of bands that sounds a whole lot better in a live setting that in the studio. The Allman Brothers Band is the best example of this. In the studio recordings, they sound cool, but here they're a force of nature. From the very first note of the slide guitar, you know that you've just been punched so hard in the stomach that you'll hardly recover any time soon. Duane Allman is for sure my all time favourite guitarist.

Recorded Live At The Monterey Jazz FestivalUnited States John Handy
You enter the saloon slowly, the air so still that you could cut it with a knife. Between the dust and the hats you can see dozens of eyes staring at you, a bottle of whiskey kept in the air by frozen hands. After a second, everything starts flowing again, the tension still pervading the room. But in a dark corner, five young men are playing the music of sin, of bravery, of hope, of death. That is, the music of humanity. The saxophonist is crying for a spanish woman that has stolen his heart without looking back at him, the violinist narrates some obscure deed they've done and that they now regret, while the guitarist, the bassist and the drummer are keeping up the dark beguiling sentiment of the music.
Nobody knows them, but they're changing the minds of all of the ones who listen carefully. When they finish, you shoot them cold dead, 'cause no one else should know the secret that they've taught you.

My Favorite ThingsUnited States John Coltrane
A love supreme may seem the most spiritual john coltrane's album, but for me this is where he reaches his peak. My conception of this masterwork was completely altered after reading Kafka On The Shore by Haruki Murakami: now, when i hear the title track, i cannot help but feel like if it was a sort of Romantic battle of the man against the forces of Nature, striving to understand the meaning of our existence.

Kind of obvious i would say. But, you know, apart from music's quality, this album introduced me to jazz and since it is my favourite musical genre, i have to show some respect.

So many memories attached to this album... Every listening gives me chills down my spine, it makes me feel like an angry and disturbed 16 years old kid again, doin' stupid things just to impress his friends.

"Sajna tere bina"
Hearing the tabla and harmonium cooperating with a Jimi-Hendrix-style guitar providing the background for Khan's flourishing voice makes you understand that he and Michael Brook were in the right place at the right moment. They carve canyons inside your soul, just to fill them with love.

The picks that aren’t completely obscure are VERY basic.
However, I convinced myself to check out Nusrat - it’s not everyday I encounter an album from Pakistan. They certainly are good vibes. And wow! Massive Attack remixed one of his songs before they made Blue Lines.
