Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Nice, though too heavy on the 2000s. Maybe expand the chart 15 more albums and that will help?

Your chart has way too many albums from the 2000s for my liking. Also, I was bothered by a lack of originality.
Quite like the chart but I really don't get Oasis. Nice to see OCS in there though.
A lovely chart. Really nice to see Let England Shake and Backspacer in there! How have you managed to hear Bon Iver and what are your thoughts on it?
I do like Modest Mouse. I love the album The Moon and Antarctica, it just hasn't cracked my top 50 as of now. Great chart
