Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by Ben4 (2019)
Haven't updated this in a while, so I thought I would see how my discoveries of recent years would stack up against some things in here, as well as how albums I used to like would age. This is the result, hope you enjoy!

A great list! So much variety, and a great sample of albums from all decades and genres of the 20th century. Loveless is a great top pick! However, you should probably branch out to some more albums from this century. It's a bit weird to see twice as many 50s albums as 10s albums when, in the 50s, the album form wasn't really set yet, whereas it's been pretty strong this decade. Other than that, great list! As for a few personal disagreements, which have no bearing on my score: Kid A is Radiohead's best album and Sgt. Pepper is amongst the Beatle's worse albums; Revolver or The White Album is their best. And no Low? And Blonde on Blonde > Highway 61 Revisited; they're way too far apart. Those are just my nitpicks.
Excellent chart. Really enjoyed it.
Lots of nice alternative rock picks here, would be great to see some written notes!
Nice stuff! Any chart with Loveless in the top 10 is good enough for me :) Also, you should check out the band Mineral. They're an early emo/post-hardcore band kinda like At The Drive In and The Wrens
Awesome chart! Excellent variety!
Your Uncle was in The Shins???? That's incredible. I'd love to hear some of his stories. I wish Mercer didn't blow up the band like he did. Anyways, great chart on your end as well.
Now thats what i like. Tons of 70s and 90s.
Great chart man, love to see it updated as you discover more
Thank you for the generous rating and comment. I agree with you that a lot of charts do have a focus on indie rock or classic rock. I would say check out some charts from the forum regulars. They have some very diverse charts that are worth looking at and you can find a lot of hidden gems that you can't find on other "best album" lists or major publications.
At the Drive-in! And so many great metal choices, from Rust in Peace to Leviathan. Also REM is an original choice for number 1
