This is my Top 100 chart which is based on albums I have grown up with and have discovered later in life and been played many times. The albums I choose are based on it working well from start to finish and with a theme is a bonus. There is also that element of magic and journey I look for in an album too throughout. There are many artists that I would love to include but lack that album that captures me throughout and some albums that are not highly recognised that I feel are underrated

This album is The Beatles at their best with all shining through and especially George and Ringo. Come Together, Something, Here Comes The Sun , even Octopuses Garden and all of the last songs blending together end The Beatles collaboration on perfect note including Paul's little song of the Queen at the end. Amazing!!!

Probably the greatest rock n roll band ever who created more hits and albums within less than 10 years than anyone else has. This album is their holy grail achievement as a concept album and sees them move away from their pop idol image to being an artistic band ready to push the boundaries in music. The amount of instruments and ideas in this is incredible including a silent high pitch noise that only dogs will hear. From the opening strong guitar rift singing about this band to the Closing classic combo song of A Day In The Life (my fav song) this album covers topics on everyday life, thoughts, actions, opinions and escapism from reality. There is comedy in this album too like Paul singing ‘I admit it’s getting better. It’s getting better all the time’ with John singing straight after ‘It can’t get no worse!’. This album is brilliant.

This album is at number 80 as a tribute to Lennon (who died in 1980) at his creative best with I Am The Walrus and Strawberry Fields along with his trademark Beatles song 'All You Need Is Love'. This album is two EP's combined but at a time when The Beatles where a bit lost after Epstein's death they produced great creative tracks on an outlook to life. The album also has my favourite fun Beatles songs of 'Magical Musical Tour' and 'Hello,Goodbye' that captures magical pop rock perfectly. There was a rebirth of interest in The Beatles in 1980 and since the band where all friends again at this time it is a shame John died as there may have been a reunion on the cards.

Nice to see we've got Wolfmother, Odyssey Number 5, Split Enz & Kasabian's West Ryder in common among others. They're the ones that don't seem to grace many peoples Top 100

Finally, an Aussie brother in arms. Of course I love you putting Australian music where it rightly belongs - in a greatest 100 chart. Enjoyed seeing Simple Minds at #1 - nice move. My only reservation re your chart (& it is entirely a personal one) is that giving 50% of valuable chart space to only 12 artists somewhat limits the exploration & appreciation of 60+ years of modern music across the planet, including other exceptional Australian artists (eg The Church, Alex Lloyd, Living End, Black Sorrows...). That said, your loyalty to the artists you most admire is to be admired & respected.

Good Chart . I still love the Simple Minds. Nobody seem to know that even their recent albums are quite good.
