Phenomenal songs throughout the entire record, nothing worth skipping. Some of my all time favorite songs on it, and listening to it makes me happy in a time where happiness is fleeting. My contender for best Alt Rock album of the 90s.

Fantastic prog rock, filled with nothing but staples throughout. Close to The Edge is a masterpiece and Siberian Khatru is an all time favorite of mine.

My favorite thing about this album is how it makes me feel completely broken on the inside. One of the few albums to make me tear up.

Justin Vernon’s cabin depression brings out the best of Bon Iver. All of the songs feel intimate and I find myself singing along to all of them, which gets more and more difficult as the discography goes on. A great piece of work.

Extremely solid midwestern emo that speaks to the loneliness and unhappiness that sometimes tends to linger. Songs do a great job of feeling empty and often convey a sort of ‘screaming into the void’.

The serene guitar and vocals of Riot on an Empty Street make me fear that I’ll fall asleep listening to it on the road. An album far from thrilling, but never fails to impress.

A nothing short of gorgeous piece of experimental Alt Rock. Holland, 1945 is a song I can never make it past on the CD, because it’s so good I keep rewinding it to listen to it again.

A truly epic album. Over 2 hours of music and the substance never runs dry. 1979, Tonight Tonight, and We Only Come out at Night are songs I revisit constantly. For a long listen, I’ll never get bored.

A top album of the 90s, it’s almost impressive how many iconic and memorable songs are just in the first half. Great album to sing along to in the car. Powerful lead vocals and very solid production throughout.
