Do I really need to explain this? This is the album in which artists aspire to make. Radiohead's songwriting is at it's peak, as each track is beautifully conceived and perfectly paced. The tracks play of one another well,

This album is just amazing in every way. Every track brings something new and interesting to the table as Modest Mouse explores the cosmic with their new sound and style. Brian Deck polishes the album just enough to make it sound clean and beautiful. Isaac's Brock's lyrics are more profound than ever before, and his delivery is incredibly passionate as always. Eric Judy and Jeremiah Green also do a great job following Brock and playing off of him. Simply the best indie rock will ever get.

In Funeral, Arcade Fire is able to deliver a powerful and emotional sound through layered instrumentation and heartfelt vocals. This album could make a truck driver weep.

Favorite Tracks: Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels), Neighborhood #2 (Laïka), Neighborhood #3 (Power Out), Wake Up, Rebellion (Lies)

Least Favorite Track: Neighborhood #4 (7 Kettles)

Why it's not higher: If anything holds Arcade Fire back, it is that Neighborhood #4 simply is not up to par with other tracks.

This album jams and it jams hard. Glad they finally put some habaneros in their jam, I like how it's spicy.
