This is what I consider to be the top 20 greatest albums off how iconic it is and the quality of the music, not a list of my favorites

This album needs no introduction, it's easily the Beatles best record and has the best production. I'd even go far as to say this has the best production of all time for an album. Some parts are very classic and fresh like Come Together. But other times it can feel experimental and predicts the future of rock like I Want You She's So Heavy and the collections of shorter songs on the latter half of the album. Every song provides something unique and doesn't miss in any way. [First added to this chart: 01/07/2023]

While it's much more simplistic than some of other Pink Floyd's best albums. It has really powerful themes and finds a way to tell them through simply lyrics, psychedelia, and great songs. This album basically defines what it means to be human, beautiful from start to finish. [First added to this chart: 01/07/2023]

It's rarely that an artist or band while take such a risk and shift in the style of what made them popular, but it's even rarely that the risk will pay off. And this album does just, easily the most influential and groundbreaking album and the riskiest album the Beatles released. It has a few misses but it's artistic and strange style still holds up. And A Day in the Life is the best closer to any album ever. [First added to this chart: 01/07/2023]

The untitled Zeppelin takes everything that the first three albums did well and combines it into one. The raw energy from the two albums, combined with the smoother production and a hint of folk rock, and this what you get. This Zeppelin in all their game and glory and it shows, every song is great. Stairway to Heaven is arguably the greatest song of all time and When the Levee Breaks is such an epic closer. No skips on this masterpiece. [First added to this chart: 01/14/2023]

This album defined the 90s like no other album could. Rock was a completey different landscape when this came out and holds up very well to this day. It has some of the best songs from the decade and Smells like Teen Spirit might be the best song of the 90s. This album is truly unsurpassed in what it does. [First added to this chart: 01/14/2023]

Radiohead was a very bold band for going against what everyone else was going in this time whether it was grunge or any hard rock sound. Every song sounds unique while using the same palette of sounds and instruments. It's theme of a dystopian society based on technology is more relevant now than ever before. It's highly likely that this will continue to rise the ranks on this list as it is the newest album in my top 10 by a long shot. But Kendrick perfected this album in a way no rapper has before. He talks about the rap industry, fame, and African American Culture, while sounding old school, catchy, and very jazzy. [First added to this chart: 01/14/2023]

This has to be one of if not the most powerful albums on an emotional level. The production is considerably better compared to DSOTM and just feels like a very personal album to the band as their original leader Syd Barrett had left becquse of drug abuse. It may not have passed DSOTM in sales or iconically, but it showed that they worked on where they had room to improved. [First added to this chart: 01/14/2023]

For a while, this was the Beatles most consistent and smooth running album. It takes everything the Beatles were good at, while still getting into more of their psychedelic sound and blends it so smoothly and has a nice happy pop sound. It may not be their best album but it does bring me in good spirits. [First added to this chart: 01/14/2023]

Throughout Bowie's career, he's tried a variety of sounds and styles, reinventing himself constantly. But no album comes close to this one, it's bold, it's fierce. It's such a great album and has some of Bowie's best songs while staying super consistent and a fun listening experience. [First added to this chart: 01/31/2023]
