Top 100 Greatest Music Albums

I wouldnt call this chart "best ever albums" as the site suggests, but this is quite simply my favourite albums. My chart has been put together based purely on what I enjoy listening to, no points for influence on other artists or importance at its time of release. It may be heavy with certain artists and genres, but they happen to be my favourite ones, I don't go for the one album per artist thing as I don't believe that gives an accurate account of your genuine favourites. The only rule I had was no greatest hits/best of, b-side collections or compilation albums.

I've put my favourite 3 tracks off each album on so if anyone hasn't heard anything on this chart they can listen to a taster of the album on youtube.

In the process of listening to all these again so positions will change.

This album just gets better and better with every listen, didnt connect with it at first as its not as instantly catchy as some of their other albums, but they tend to be the best ones. Richeys often cryptic lyrics paired up with a band who have really hit their stride when it comes to putting them to music. Other than the first song (which borrows a hook straight from Heaven 17s Temptation, come on fellas, you could have picked a better song to steal from!) this is a work of genius. Favourite tracks, All is Vanity, Facing Page: Top Left, Me and Stephen Hawking [First added to this chart: 10/01/2013]

For anyone who hasnt heard this, dont expect it to be like some of their later singles that get much more airplay. This isnt isnt the sort of album you would stick on at a kids birthday party, it would give them nightmares! Very dark subject matter on this which makes you wonder what the fuck was going on in Richey Edwards head. Diehard Manics fans would probably disagree with the placing of this album, this is my third favourite album of theirs. The lyrics may be quite lightweight in comparison to their other albums, but this has catchy song after catchy song and is a great album to listen to. A return to form from them after a couple of under par albums. Favourite tracks, Send Away the Tigers, I'm Just A Patsy, Winterlovers. [First added to this chart: 09/24/2013]

I really love this chart and the comments even if I don't agee with all the albums on it: maybe a bit too biased on britpop: but anyhow I am tempted to check out a lot of your favorites especially the Rory gallagher ones; l checked out the Irish Tour album and I really lovend it as well. Apart from the shredding guitar plating I think it is the Ray Manzanerek like organisatie that delivers the icing on the already fantastisch cake.
I also especially liked your funny comments on Metallica and am glad you appreciate them
