"Just another measly reason why i love Bradford Cox to death. Not only can he front one of the most dynamic contemporary indie rock bands but he can also create layered, atmospheric and enjoyable little gems of joy that turn me from an all-round lover of music into biased little sissy that may as ..." "I remember I was disappointed when I listened to it for the first time - although (or because) I liked the earlier albums very much. This one grew on me almost everytime I listened to it, and pretty soon it became my favourite Doves album. It is a pity that it still is the last record they released." [+] Reply
"I started to get this Willie Nelson meets Phish feeling, and then sometimes a George Harrison and John Lennon sound from the keys, vocals, and guitar. But still just ok." Reply

"Dinosaur Jr. were doing the alternative rock thing way back in the 80s, before the Seattle grunge scene exploded. Guitarist/singer J Mascis is widely credited with re-introducing the guitar solo to indie rock, and there's plenty of nice hooks (and solos!) on Farm. I don't know if it's because it ..." [+] Reply

"This album really sounds like an extension of "merriweather post pavilion", and that's the best compliment I think I can attribute to this EP. "what would I want? sky" is as good as any of the best stuff from MPP. "graze" borrows from its song structure starting atmospheric and mesmerizing until ..." [+] Reply
"Masterpiece of soundscape, to say the least. The guitar tone is an art in and of itself. The lyrics are hauntingly deep, even though the delivery comes across somewhat silly at points. The choir on Big Church is so damn good, All around this album is consistent and cohesive, which just makes it e..." [+] Reply
""Burial At Sea" always makes me choke up for some reason. Such a sad song. Reminds me of "Adagio In G Minor."" Reply
"Yes, I've listened to every White Stripes record, the Raconteurs records, and Jack White's solo works... This is White's best record. Horehound's thematic solidarity makes even Elephant sound a little scattered in ideology. In my opinion, it has his career's best grooves (Treat Me Like Your Mothe..." [+] Reply

"One current artist I'm astounded has yet to follow up this masterful work of retro=pop material. Bulletproof was an absolute smash and Ellie has remained quiet long after. Looking forward to the follow up more than any other really since it's been so long" Reply
