"Like eating vanilla ice cream. Actually, it's more like making ice cream, y'know with the ice and the coffee can and the grinding and general annoyance that's supposed to make you appriciate the end product but then you ended up eating shitty homemade vanilla ice cream and you have to sit there a..."  [+]  Reply

"It isn't my thing. I don't enjoy this type of music much, but this album excels at what it does, so I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the xx or this genre of music. I'll be sharing it with my friends who I know love this type of music because it is excellent for what it is, but pe..."  [+]  Reply

"The arrangements are well thought out, particularly the duel guitars, and the production is a great example of analogue done right, warm while still retaining clarity and separation. Death Cab are a much better band than people give them credit for and this is their most consistent and varied album."  Reply

"This was one of my favorite albums when I was in high school. I played violin and loved indie rock and this album convinced me I didn't have to play guitar to be cool (I mean, I was wrong, but at least it got me through high school)."  Reply

"Every redundancy and magniloquence is stripped away and it's only the purest VDGG sound that remains. The songs are harsh, even aggressive, but they are as evocative as their classics (and even more). The best track for me is "The Sleepwalkers", with a somehow 'catchy' organ riff, which is actual..."  [+]  Reply

"Pretty consistent album. I think it lacks a killer track, but it's nice to listen from start to finish. If you like Interpol you have to check it out Best tracks: Lights, Munich, All Sparks, Blood, Bullets"  Reply

"First album I ever bought new as a kid. I love Billy Joel--and I noticed this is sort of lower on the "best" list than I would put it, but I suspect that has something to do with the reviewers' ages. I was 10 when I bought this album. I was familiar with Billy Joel from radio airplay and the sing..."  [+]  Reply

"Todd Rundgren is a genius. I got into after Tame Impala listed his as one of the main influences for their album Lonerism. I listening to him I fell in love with his music. He has a very distinct style and its god damn good"  Reply

"I have to say, major kudos to The Roots for taking on the challenge of a rap concept album and doing incredibly well with it. Black Thought really amazes me with his rapping, it truly can be poetic. There’s even a short little instrumental suite at the end of the album that really finishes off th..."  [+]  Reply

"It was a consistently good seller(Reprise MS 2064) throughout the 70s and 80s and got a lot of airplay in the same period, especially for "Political Science" and "Sail Away".
