Walela is the collaboration of Rita Coolidge, her sister Priscilla Coolidge, and Priscilla's daughter Laura Satterfield. The three women honor their Native American heritage through song, singing tunes inspired by their tribal history on their 1997 debut album on Mercury Records (Cat#: 314 536 049-2). The ladies' vocal harmonies strike one deeply and provide an emotional showcase for the stories of the Cherokee tribe. It is clear to hear their extraordinary vocal gifts. A lot of hard work happens in the background to keep BEA running, and it's especially difficult to do this when we can't pay our hosting fees :(
