Robi Kahakalau is an Hawaiian musician and singer with a long career on the International circuit. This 2000 release is her third solo album release on Kanai'a Records (Cat#: KNRCD 1264) and features a good mix of native songs and covers of other artists. Her sister composed many of the tracks found here, while they are performed spiritedly by Robi. You can find the reggae infused opening track, the traditional Polynesian rhythms of and more mainstream fair like Stevie Nicks' "Landslide" all mixed in an intriguing gumbo.
