Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 62.4/100, a mean average of 60.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 60.7/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 26.6.

The defining cultural figure of the 21st century thus far. The most successful living synthesiser of commercial and critical sensibilities, reshaping the experience of music consumption on multiple occasions. She possesses an innate, nigh-on god-given talent to form deeply personal connections with her listeners whilst making verbosely outward, catch-all music. Across the evolution of genre in her astonishing discography, with every album she has made an unignorable statement on blackness and on femininity, along with an increasing push to the political too. Amongst the greatest live performers in history, greatest dancers in history, and one of pop's all-time greatest audio-visual creatives. We are blessed when an artist is able to create a cultural and artistic event on the scale of even one Beyoncé album. To have achieved such feats repeatedly, across different mediums no less, is beyond comprehension.
I have known Beyoncé for as long as I have been conscious. But less than being unable to imagine a world without her in it, I am unable to imagine my own music taste nor my fundamental enjoyment of music without her. Almost nothing she has ever touched hasn't had me entranced at one point or another. Comparison is a fruitless effort. Pity the misogyny in some of the below comments and pray they actually listen to her.
pushed by the industry and that's all
She's being taught at YALE now... College has officially become a waste of money.
I think Beyonce is one of the few top-notch mainstream artists, who at least knows what good music is and tries to follow that path in many ways, and even though she doesn't make music like the greatest Rock bands, at least she is trying to make something different from the over-consumed pop products as I noticed. Maybe she started as a commercialized artist making hits and casual songs, but after "I AM... Sasha Fierce" she improved a lot, esp her album "Lemonade" which one of the best concept albums I've heard in mainstream music today. I think she is underrated in this website, so I'm giving her a high rating.
Her music is mediocre. Her voice is mediocre. Her constant wobbling of her fat arse at everyone is gross.
Doesn't know if she wants to be a social justice warrior or a pop star. Ends up being trash at both.
Beyoncé se afasta do R&b radiofônico (e muitas vezes xarope) e se aproxima da borda desse gênero. Os melhores do mundo são chamados para produzir sua maior surpresa!
She's definitely one of the greatest divas of all time. The way she absolutely dominates the stage is not within everyone's reach. Now, we can definitely discuss the quality of her discography, which at least for me is, for the most part, pretty forgettable, but her talent as a performer and as an entertainer is undeniable.
