Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. We share five discs, eight artists, and you name several others that are close behind my top 40. I really like the diversity of your list -- different eras, different styles. While you give at least a couple of bands several spots, so be it. Besides, I like Radiohead, Pink Floyd, and Sufjan too. Good job -- I look forward to seeing how your rankings evolve.

I like the chart. Is very close of my personal taste and it's full from classics and modern albums, but it is like you've said on the chart description, is too full from the same artists.
I feel like I'm looking a BEA Overal chart. You have only one album that is not TOP 10 on its year released. You should search for different things to.
