Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. i actually have that tears for fears album and enjoy it quite a lot. i must admit to a prejudice against donna summer and will give this album a listen. cheers.

haredoug ... that Summer selection is a special concept piece... read my comments on it. Tears for Fears? Not many singers measure up to Roland Orzabal.
