I just found out that this chart was the chart of the day a week ago(6/29/18). To who ever picked it, thank you so much I was ecstatic to find out. That being said, I've been meaning to update this chart for a while now and wish I could have done so before. I've probably listened to more music in the the last year than I have in any other. I've also changed my opinion on a number of albums and don't want them on the chart anymore. Changing the chart probably wont change to many of the below criticisms though, as it will still probably be repetitive (but less), and will still only feature music from the last 25 or so years(I'll fix that someday). Still I appreciate getting picked for the chart of the day.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Very honest chart full of great albums by modern artists. Curious what you'd like from older music. You should check out some bands that inspired the bands you like. Probably some space rock progressive bands after seeing your taste or early electronic stuff like Brian Eno. Hmm.

A little more diversity may help your cause. The whole chart is represented by a hand full of bands or sub-bands that makes this chart rather weak.

I'm sorry I hate to be so critical but I feel this chart shouldn't count towards the overall rankings. The entire thing compromises of just indie rock with a smattering of French house (in included Daft Punk and Justice) and recent hip hop picks, with seemingly no care or attention given to any genre outside of such a narrow scope. What is more bizarre is not only that you have included no albums from before 1994 (with only a measly 8 from the 90s anyway) but that checking your profile you've not even bothered to listen and rate anything before that time period. Animal Collective have put out 7 records better than all of the 60s, 70s and 80s combined?? Get outta here

Great records on here- love the love for AnCo and electronic music in general. Although to me Lonerism is leaps ahead of Currents (but that's just because I prefer the classic rock feel XD)
