Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 86.6/100, a mean average of 87.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 86.9/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 6.9.

I respect this chart quite a great deal. What you're trying to do here so uniquely is worth the time analyzing. The problem is, though, that there's still a lot of super important popular music that I suspect you might not have heard and that is extremely instructive for understanding the strenghts and innovations of popular music. Heading straight to the charts (specially the modern charts) is a terrible idea. Again, it's not that the music is "bad", it's just that it gives a misleading picture. Take into account: most of the most acclaimed artists in history of popular music (particularly those from the 64-74 period) are REALLY that great, and they help give a clear picture of what the strenghts of the artform are.

Also, Dream Theater sucks ass. Good chart anyway.

The first 10 threw me off a little bit, but I appreciate the uniqueness of your chart

In response to your comment on my chart: I would say some people convince themselves to like something that’s crap, because they don’t know there is better music or because they focus too much on stuff that has nothing to do with music.

But anyway, I don’t know what you think of my chart.

Actually, I'd like to see your personal biases instead of the way you restricted it to only highly rated albums. There's nothing wrong with personal biases.

This chart makes my head spin. It is mind-boggling and confusing, but that's what makes it good.

Weird, weird shit. But the most unique chart I’ve seen in a while, so I’m not complaining.

This is an interesting list indeed. Definitely a fine blend of modern pop and classic/current rock and prog. A very unique top 10 as well. Can't wait to see where this chart goes, welcome to the site!

Very unique chart. Der Ring des Nibelungen as your number one is a great choice. I'd recommend checking out a Bayreuth performance if you haven't already.

Quite an interesting list! The one thing I would suggest is that you shouldnt try to limit yourself to what is "highly rated" on this site. Its all about personal preference, regardless of what "the establishment" or whoever would have you believe. But then again you didn't anyway, so props to you
