Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 86.9/100, a mean average of 85.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 87.2/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 17.1.

Good list. I strongly dislike some of the poppy choices but your great choices make up for it.
Nice Chart!

Great seeing Portishead Third rated so high on here. I agree that it's criminally underrated. Moves up on my list every time I listen to it. Surprising seeing a bunch of 2019 albums on here since it's so recent but that's cool. I should check out JPEG and the others I haven't heard yet.

it's always nice to see aim and ignite appreciated
Nice to see so many recent albums on here. A lot of people like to argue that today's popular music isn't good but honestly that's just stupid. Just look at TPAB! You have it as your #1 album and honestly I have a hard time disagreeing with that placement (even if I personally like GKMC slightly better). There's so much great music from this decade and I'm happy you recognize that. Great list!!

Such a cool chart! Perfect mix of everything, popular albums, deep cuts, oddball choices, it's great, keep it up and LONG LIVE WEEZER

I've seen you all over the forums so it's good to finally put a chart to the name. Since you're so active here it's a shame that there's no notes for these albums; I bet you've got a lot to say!! That's all that's missing to get a perfect score from me :)
Nice man, lots of solid recent releases. 2019 has been a pretty good year for music so far.
