Varies between intense and calm. Antony's vocals in "The Dull Flame of Desire" and "My Juvenile" are lovely, as are, of course, Björk's.

Revenge is sweet. This compilation is full of Sparklehorse, but it also carries the styles of the other artists.

36 wonderful ambient, sometimes metallic tracks. The first is a favorite. A soundbath.

This album is amazing. "Sick of Goodbyes" is exciting, as is "Pig", while "Sunshine" goes on the softer side. "Painbirds" is a nice, haunting track. "Chaos of the Galaxy/Happy Man Medley" might be my favorite song of all time.

Top 50 Greatest Music Albums ratings
Average Rating = (n ÷ (n + m)) × av + (m ÷ (n + m)) × AVwhere:

AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart is rated in the top 6% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 88.4/100, a mean average of 90.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 90.4/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 8.7.

Quite the varied list... I like it! I'd like to see what else you can add to this site. Hooray for Iceland, apparently...

Dude! Your taste in music is so similar to mine!
I've always loved two genres: Alternative Rock and Progressive Rock. Everyone I talk to seems to only fall into one of those two categories, but you, like me, seem to be split somewhere in middle. This deserves a favourite on Sparklehorse alone, I added Good Morning Spider to my top 30 just today.
And ps, you're about to thank me for introducing you to a certain band... check your private messages.

Awesome chart; it's great to see classics intermingling with contemporary hidden gems like "Rabbits on the Run."
