"On any given day this album is my absolute favorite. The Blasters is, in a word, rock n' roll (ok, that's three). Excepting Elvis, Little Richard and Jerry Lee...this is the truest form of the art form. Dave Alvin can flat write a great song, and Phil is THE VOICE. Dude can belt. And Marie Marie ..."  [+]  Reply

"This album would be terrible by anybody else. The amount of covers, several songs have fairly simple chord progressions, etc. But I know of no other equal to this man's voice. That amazingly beautiful and haunting Mickey Mouse voice trapped in a German man's body. On every track, his voice is fro..."  [+]  Reply

"A very good album, you could say surprisingly good. The best tracks are the ones where "Su Tissue" sings. Not that "Vex Billingsgate" is bad as the lead - far from it. But Su's voice/style adds that certain something that makes those tracks half a star better. Unfortunately, if you want anymore t..."  [+]  Reply

"This album is underrated. It's crime being that it's sandwiched between Priest's two best albums: British Steel and Screaming For Vengeance. 'Solar Angels', 'Desert Plains', 'Heading Out To The Highway' are all strong songs. Halford's vocals are very entertaining on songs like 'Don't Go' and 'You..."  [+]  Reply

"Probably the best pur hard-core punk of the 80s. Well this or the Bad Brain debut as I consider Dead Kennedys a more elaborate punk band who just got labeled hard-core because of the scene in which they played."  Reply

"Although this did not have the immediate impact on me that KOTWF did at the time, I listened to it for longer then. I also find this easier to listen to now. So, taking that into account, and the fact it contains the classic Stand & Deliver I rate this higher (but neither as high as Dirk)... Saw ..."  [+]  Reply
