"This is where Nightwish began taking it into the stratosphere. Their first 4 albums were good, but this album is truly excellent. Tarja's outstanding vocals were far more balanced between rock and opera on this album - a balance that the band would continue striking after firing her. Wish I Had a..."  [+]  Reply

"Some of the songwriting here is up there with the very best by the likes of Cat Power, Fiona Apple or Liz Phair. "Chemo Limo" and "Carbon Monoxide" in particular were a real punch, truly heartbreaking. Not all the songs are hits, but overall the album was a very good surprise."  Reply

"This is the third of a three-album peak for this band, from a time when they had three excellent songwriters all hitting their marks. The real standout on this one is Jason Isbell, who contributed three instant classics in "Danko/Manuel," "Never Gonna Change," and "Goddamn Lonely Love.""  Reply

"Criminally underrated. This is what pop albums should sound like and this is what smart producers should be doing with sampling. They make good videos too. Check out Junior Kickstart where they somehow manage to turn NYC into the world's largest Ms. Pac Man maze. Outstanding."  Reply

"I found this much more accessible than "Iowa" or their self titled album, which were barely listenable for me. I don't see myself returning to this album, but it was an interesting listen and by no means a waste of time. Overall, 70/100."  Reply

"For a long time I thought that no album or collection can come near OK computer. Then came Misery is a butterfly and proved me as being wrong. The greatest creations usually don’t require additional supportive comparison to shine. The album is tribute to beauty and every moment in it is a masterp..."  [+]  Reply
