"Adele recently put out a pop album that received raves from critics, extraordinary sales numbers, and a countless number of awards. This was due to her incredible voice, emotionally written lyrics, and flat out enjoyable music. A few years prior, the album that fit the exact description above was..."  [+]  Reply

"I wasn't a big fan of "Trouble" when it came out, but I heard "Jolene" last week and was blown away..."Jolene" is a masterpiece, perfect arrangement, paints a vivid picture of addiction and lonliness, great vocals"  Reply

"a pop masterpiece. i found it really hard to listen to it beyond Hollaback Girl because the first three songs are total killers and the other can sound like filler. But not at all. My favourites is Luxurious and the first three. Special mention to A Long Way To Go, i found it really interesting."  Reply

"Lanegan has one of greatest rock voices of all times, and he uses it at his best on this album. A blast from beginning till end, and another great duet (this time with PJ Harvey). Would trade this album for the entire top 20 of 2004, apart from the Arcade Fire and Nick Cave albums."  Reply

"Tom waits described his new album as 'cubist funk', and on the brilliant second track, hoist this rag, you can see what he means. Real gone, is probably Tom Waits' most challenging record. It's full of clattering blues and beautiful acoustic based songs. Opener, top of the hill, is scratchy rock ..."  [+]  Reply

"I am referring to the single disc version here. Marillion managed to hit the jackpot with the collection of songs. Briliant start and end tracks filled with wonderful shorter tracks. This is the last of the Marillion classics"  Reply

"The fact that I had young daughters who listened to this incessantly and the fact that she is a Canuck breakthrough seriously colour my opinion of this. I for one cannot resist Nobody's Home. Do I find pleasure in this? Guilty!"  Reply

"I disagree with junodog4, because Sum 41, like Blink-182, are better when they're serious! "Chuck" is a great album, way better than anything Sum 41 had done before. The lyrics are very serious and dark here. This is a 2004 album, but I feel like the topics they talk about are more relevant than ..."  [+]  Reply
