"The first Album I ever owned. Received as a Christmas present at the age of 11. Loved it then and love it now. Hadn’t listened it for man years and recently revisited it. In my opinion Madness best ? just ahead of One Step Beyond. Other than Solid Gone I love most of the songs on here. Baggy Trou..."  [+]  Reply

"KISS were tucked away in my past and I’ve just recently decided to play one KISS album per day from their first to last. I have certainly moved on from their music but to give credit where it’s due this album is actually better than I remember it. I had rated it a 65 based on memory, knowing that..."  [+]  Reply

"I don't think it is appropriate here to call DCD "Gothic" or “Gothic Rock”. The music on the first album is not really indebted to "Gothic", unless you think the electric guitar would have been inspired a bit too much by the work of The Cure and the likes. The unique voice and singing of L. Gerra..."  [+]  Reply

"Following the seminal 'Stoneage Romeos' we all held our collective breath for their next album which would be 'Mars Needs Guitars '. And it’s good, better than good in fact . I place it at 3 in their catalogue behind 'Stoneage ' and 'Blow Your Cool ' On a side note is it possible 'Hayride To Hell..."  [+]  Reply

"The output is both surreal and nightmarish, fueled by angst, doubt, fear, rage, uncertainty and unrelenting introspection. Imagine being inside a world designed by Edvard Munch and Salvadore Dali while a horror movie is projected on the wall and a radio turned up too loud spits out war coverage n..."  [+]  Reply

"Often overlooked classic NWOBHM album. So pleased to have picked up this re-issue on spatter vinyl, to marry with their debut, also on spatter vinyl, just need Denim and Leather now to complete the trio. Title track is a banger, Dallas 1pm a personal favourite, altogether great metal album."  Reply

"Epic Viking Metal album. Very important for the genre. I hear dust of guitar sound that falls with violence from the Valhalla to the ground, surrounded by melody. Listen to it! It's like to read a Scandinavian epic/fantasy novel (a good one)"  Reply

"Half of this album contain big top 20 hits, "True"(1), "Gold"(2), "Lifeline"(7) and "Communication"(12), yet "Pleasure" is an outstanding track and together with the remainig three tracks, there is no filler, only killer tunes."  Reply

"A mixed bag that seems to be an attempt to appeal to both fans of Clapton's blues based stuff and his pop/adult contemporary stuff. It will probably satisfy neither, but the first half at least is listenable enough. Better versions of songs from this album appear on Unplugged and 24 Nights."  Reply
