"Unfairly labelled as a disappointing follow-up to the critically acclaimed debut, A Weekend in the city is actually close to being a flawless concept album. From coke in dirty night club toilets; playing to rooms full of bored hipsters; the desire for weekend escapism- the essence of inner-city l..." [+] Reply

"Very cool sound. I love the big band sound and experimentation on Africa and the rework of Greensleeves. Surprised how low this is on Coltrane's discography on this site tbh." Reply

"Very strong follow-up to Leftoverture, high-energy prog/hard rock all the way through save for the wonderful gentleness of Dust in the Wind. Definitely a must-listen album for prog enthusiasts like its predecessor." Reply

"A soothing, haunting sound from beginning to end. This album invokes so much feeling and emotion, and if I feel like listening to it I have to listen to it completely through every time. Songs like "Cutting My Fingers Off" and "I Would Hate You if I Could" cut deep and are absolutely gut wrenchin..." [+] Reply
"The longest Iron Maiden album so far. It's probably a bit overlong to be honest, but there is some good stuff here. The first two tracks are excellent, and Bruce Dickinson's, empire of the clouds, is extremely enjoyable. Not as good as they used to be, but still fun." Reply

"Brilliant first album by Foreigner. I think the later efforts possibly have greater highs but no album beats this one as all tracks are of a consistently high quality. Favourites are obviously the hits but also The Damage Is Done, Fool For You Anyway and I Need You." Reply

"A year after his wildly successful and iconic Exodus record, Marley follows up with a warm album with some great songs, it just comes off a little too commercial." Reply

"It's mostly average Dream Theater fare (which I consider to be a cut above the norm so that's fine with me). The lead track is balls-to-the-wall, and the second disk is a 40-minute epic. Can't go wrong there. The album has typical Dream Theater dynamics - plenty of ballads mixed in with the heavi..." [+] Reply
