When I first heard this album back in the day, I just assumed this band would be enormously popular, what with the huge guitar sound, the high-powered female singer, the epic, anthemic tunes, the skillful blend of guitars and electronics... they seemed to have it all, except for... an appropriate album cover. I mean, it's cool if you're into that sort of thing, but let's face it, it kind of looks like a Residents album. So I prefer to just blame that, and not my consistent inability to pick "winning horses" when it comes to new rock bands. I'm not good at picking winning horses at actual horse races either, to be honest.
