Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 71.9/100, a mean average of 71.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.4.

A master class in the less is more musical philosophy with 12 wonderful tracks screeching through in 26 minutes and not a single one over 2.40 and at the same time giving the middle finger to the bloated and overly long pretentious BS put out by artists such as Nick Cave, Bon Iver and and any number of prog rockers

These guys could have been the saviours of rock and roll but it wasn’t to be, but hey at least now we have the comprisable and cut from the same cloth Fontaine DC’s to carry the torch

I have to say something after 6 years I've been listening to this band. They have became part of my life and I felt so sad when they announced they break up last year. There is magic in this album. Listen to the singer, he has a unique and unforgettable voice, he's singing out of his heart. The melodies are trash and beauty at the same time. Garage punk rock with touches of 60s pop. A hidden gem of 21th century's punk rock that we should rescue from oblivion.

Not bad, but the songwriting isn't always very strong and they don't quite have a style that stands out.

Nice collection of garage and punk songs. My fav tracks: Really in Love, Down the Lane and Honey Joy.
