Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Very good singer/songwriter chart with the focus in the 60`s and 70`s.
5 extra points for having "Closing Time" and "Music For A New Society".
Some suggestions of the 80`s:
Tuxedomoon: Desire - New wave, goth, classical contmporary
Peter Hammil: And Close As This - melancholic songs like Leonard Cohen
Lou Reed: New York
or maybe you like the incredibly underrated songwriter Michael J. Sheehy.

18 albums and artists in common, but what really thrills me about this chart is sharing so different and not generally chosen albums for a top 100 like "Tomorrow the green grass", "The seldom seen kid" and "The courage of others". I'd love to see some comments on those picks.

Great list good to see Joni & Tori Amos in the Top 10 surprised though that you didn't include Hejira, but good to see you have included T.Rex, Alanis Morissette and Tom Waits. you should check out Rickie Lee Jones. 17 albums & 16 artists in common so this is a great chart !
