I was given the original vinyl pressing of this album that has been passed down from my Grandfather. Overall I think it is a significant album as we see The Beatles start to experiment with different sounds and recording techniques. I don't think there is a bad song on it, also George Harrison's guitar sounds unreal.

I know this is a compilation, but seeing as it changed my music taste so drastically, I think I'm allowed. I bought this album on vinyl from my local Oxfam for £5, who ever knew that £5 could change your life. Having only heard 'This Charming Man' prior to buying this album, I soon delved into to the intriguing world of The Smiths. The versions of songs on this compilation are almost preferable to album versions, for example 'Back To The Old House' sounds delicate and gentle.

I can remember the first time I heard the intro to 'London Calling' those chords and the rumble of the bass, I don't know why but it made me think of the start of some massive battle or war. The album is incredibly diverse, which I love. Stand-out tracks in my opinion include 'Clampdown' 'Guns of Brixton' and 'The Right Profile'.

The Libertines' second studio album, produced again by Mick Jones of The Clash. It is a raw, raucous album, full of unhinged guitar and vocal. It sounds as if it is barley being held together, like a runaway train.

Great songs, lyrics and guitars. I love both of The Libertines' albums equally, I couldn't just choose one.

This album is Manchester. One of the few bands where all the member are equally important to the sound/style/attitude of the band. Reni(Drums) and Mani(Bass) lock together so well, John(Guitar) weaves intricate guitar riffs into the rhythm section, and Ian(vocals) belts out memorable and repeated lyrics with all the confidence in the world.

Has possibly the most perfect song to start an album with 'Rock and Roll Star'. One of the first 'Indie' rock bands I properly got into, with tracks such as 'Supersonic' and 'Live Forever' making you feel on top of the world, their swagger translates into their music and you can feel it when you listen to this album.

With a total of 14 songs, the album length is twenty nine minutes and four seconds long. Punk. With ridiculous lyrics in songs like 'Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue' this album is one of the best things to come out of Punk.

The diversity of Morrissey's lyrics on this album make it for me, going from the dark and emotional 'I Know It's Over' to the whimsical 'Vicar In A Tutu'.

What's to say really? This is the album that catapulted Oasis to stardom, with hit singles 'Wonderwall' and 'Don't Look Back In Anger' selling millions of copies.

Nice chart! It is really interesting Rubber Soul in the first place, it is a great album, of course, but sometimes it is unpriced because of the other amazing albums of the albums of them. Great descriptions too. There is only one thing: personally I find the compilations a little bit unoriginal for a chart, and you put one in the second place. Anyway it is okey!
