Top 100 Greatest Music Albums

My favorite albums as of January 2020
My initial plan was to update this chart and the other charts every 6 months or so, time permitting. This way, I can also see the shifts in taste and progressions of what I listen to.
When I first started this, my scope of music tastes fell within what I guess you would call "my generation" of music. I'm sure that's natural, of course. Being born in the mid 80s would mean being a teenager and early 20s during the 2000s, so a lot of albums from that time hold a particular meaning.
Granted, that is also why I got interested in this site in the first place: to explore more music while documenting the progress.
Enjoy.

Top 100 Greatest Music Albums ratings
Average Rating = (n ÷ (n + m)) × av + (m ÷ (n + m)) × AVwhere:
av = trimmed mean average rating an item has currently received.
n = number of ratings an item has currently received.
m = minimum number of ratings required for an item to appear in a 'top-rated' chart (currently 10).
AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 87.0/100, a mean average of 87.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 87.4/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 9.1.

You know what I'm gonna say don't you ... (see LedZep for my thoughts on your chart) BUT I appreciate the conscious effort you've stated in your chart to explore stuff out of your comfort zone. Seeing as you like stuff with a more modern feel, I'll try and recommend some older picks that have an ahead of time quality:
The United States Of America - The United States Of America
Nico - Desertshore
Steve Reich - Music For 18 Musicians
Faust - Faust IV
Young Marble Giants - Colossal Youth
