Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

On many levels, this is the most disappointing chart to reach “Chart of the Day”, with its absence of diversity due to the heavy focus on 1990s grunge, which fails to capture the diversity and talent even of that decade – although some of the post-rock inclusions are refreshing after looking through.
The chart is redeemed a little by the presence of some very unusual albums from Eastern Europe, though the fact that these are from the user’s homeland and hence less likely to be long-term research or personal discovery detracts even from that.
A minor issue but one that does bug me, is the absence of “shuffling” so that similar or obviously related albums are placed adjacent. (Edited)

Lol! I think I've got a good idea of your taste from this.
Not as much variety as I usually enjoy seeing, but all these albums are pretty solid so I can't really fault you on it either. XD
I like that you included some greats from your own country. I haven't heard of any of them before, but I'm curious to check some of it out. :)

Good chart ..but most importantly it's the fact that you have so may bands from your own country it has made me stop to find these bands and listen to them. So of to download as many as possible. So for that fact alone I give you 100% but may change my mind once I have listened to some of your rec's

Loved seeing Black Gives Way to Blue and that Deerhunter album on a chart! There is quite a lot of standard grunge on this chart. Very interested in checking out the Czech and Slovakian albums you put here, since I have little to no experience with music from around there. (Edited)
