Pixies are mainly a Frank Black affair but what makes Indie Cindy better than a FB solo effort is definitely Joey Santiago's guitar. It's SO good to have him back.

Indie Cindy alone makes this album listenable. It's one of their best songs ever and goes toe-to-toe with Where Is My Mind?, Velouria and anything on Doolittle.

This is a fine Pixies album even all these years later. I have read a lot of haters saying this sucks and it’s okay to have an opinion but I don’t see it. How many bands at this stage of their career top their best work? That’s what I thought. I for one am happy to hear new Pixies tunes and considering all they’ve done people can show a measure of respect. Best songs here are tracks 1-4.

Pixies mega fan here and if you thought Tromp Le Mond was bad get a load of this . Lets be honest Indie Cindy sucks , it really does . Only and only Greens and Blues is good the remainder tracks are a dumpster fire . Yew !

I know many bands drift into irrelevancy and go through the motions, but I never thought it would be the Pixies. This isn't bad, but there's nothing good about it either.
Gets far far far too much shit. Its a solid, enjoyable 3.5 star sort of album but because they have a history of 5 star and 4.5 star caliber stuff people act as though this thing is some sort of 0 star abomination. Its a pretty good effort for a band this deep into their career.

C'mon!
As a hard ass Pixies fan I have to say that this is NOT A DISAPOINTMENT!
Of course is not also their best work (BECAUSE THEIR PREVIOUS WORK WAS MINDBLOWING) but it still has that Pixies thing, that stunning thing that amazes us all.
Magdalena 318, Indie Cindy and What Goes Boom are really good tracks.

It sounds like a bunch of old men trying to cover Pixies, but sounding like a third-hand-dinosaur-hard-rock-band
By no means a great album. Some good tracks are on here though. Its really just a disappointment because now the pixies dont have a perfect discography.
