I give R.E.M. credit. They took a risk here - went for a murkier, fuzzier, bolder sound. They deviated from their usual, and got mixed reviews. Some loved it, some hated it. I think it's brilliant.

Strong from start to finish. Listening to this, you drink in loss and sadness, but are somehow bracketed with a feeling of hope. Stipe's voice has never been so emotive, and the melodies flow beautifully. Totally deserving of its reputation. Narrowly shades out Monster as best R.E.M.

Cool enough chart that reveals your love of music from just 4 nations - USA, UK, Canada & Ireland and isn't afraid to have a decent number of lesser known albums that you have discovered on your journey - kudos for that. Big tick for your love of home grown music.
I am surprised that with a chart that is over 10 years old, that the amazing music/artists from countries outside your top 4 nations have not made even a minor impact.
