The Radiohead of alt-country-rock. Wilco had promising beginnings and then blew the lid off with this album. Their experience recording Woody Guthrie on Mermaid Avenue (also on my chart) gave them credence to delve deeper. And they did. No other album blends complexity with intimacy as well as Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Bleak and joyous at the same time.

Brought me back to hip-hop. I was starting to get blinded by too many Puff Daddy and Ja Rule singles, believing that hip-hop was losing its soul. Jurassic 5 reassured me that this was not the case.

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Cool enough chart that reveals your love of music from just 4 nations - USA, UK, Canada & Ireland and isn't afraid to have a decent number of lesser known albums that you have discovered on your journey - kudos for that. Big tick for your love of home grown music.
I am surprised that with a chart that is over 10 years old, that the amazing music/artists from countries outside your top 4 nations have not made even a minor impact.
