still very 00/10's heavy (naturally since this is the time I'm growing up in), but once I gain the 'decade chart' option, it will help me organize further albums. In time, accuracy will improve as I go back and listen to albums of the past.

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Found a lot in common. I guess I'm older than you and loose contact a bit with 2010 and after (familylife:). Will check some of your choices out. You could find some in 80's chart, I suppose...

pretty good, but you're right it is pretty 00's/10's focused. I've grown up in this era too so I understand. For that I must recommend Sufjan Stevens' "Age of Adz". It's an eclectic, electronic, hip-hip infused indie-symphony. Needless to say I love it. The other album that I think you'd like, though I'm sure you;re aware of it, is the Beach Boy's "Pet Sounds". Also "Forever Changes" by Love is something I think you would like.
