Here are my favorite albums. Though the order and album selection does change all the time, the majority of these albums are ever constant. I am always on the lookout for great, new music, however the classics are hard to top... hence my love of the 1970's. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

A great overall chart , you love the 70's and Bowie. 9 albums from one artist is a wee bit excessive. Also I would have included Outside (an amazing album similar to the Berlin trilogy) instead of Diamond Dogs. 16 albums & 15 artists in common so what's not to like.

Too many albums of the same bands/singers. There are a lot of classics and even having some good albums, it's far from my personal taste.
