Fav. track: On melancholy hill
Most underrated track: Some Kind Of Nature
Least Fav. track: Glitter Freeze

The atmosphere of this album is amazing! From start to finish a great experience. With every listen to this album it sounds better then the previous listen. My all-time favourite song is on here: On melancholy hill and even the filler Glitter Freeze fits great into this record. For me, this is the best album of the Gorillaz and also the best of all time, because I never get tired of listening to it and it combines so many different genres.

"It's like wonderland" (Welcome to the World of the Plastic Beach)

Fav. Track: Videotape
Most underrated Track: Videotape
Least Fav. Track: Bodysnatchers

This album is great from start to finish. 15 step has a fantastic drum beat which holds for a time and then after the first couplet, the melody starts. This really sets the tone for the record. Although I think bodysnatchers is the weakest track on this album I still like it. Nude has one of the weirdest but also really beautiful Radiohead vocals I have heard. Weird Fishes has a really lovely guitar opening and the rest of the track is just fantastic. Then you have the fantastic bass on All I Need which creates a fantastic atmosphere. Faust Arp has the lovely, but haunting strings. Reckoner is one of my all-time favourite Radiohead tracks. House of Cards is a really nice relaxing track in the middle of the record, without dropping in quality. Jigsaw Falling Into places starts with the humming in the background and that creates a really beautiful atmosphere because they will only leave at the peak of the track and return after that. In Rainbows ends with in my opinion the best track of the record and the most underrated track of the record: Videotape. The really sad piano throughout the whole song and the beautiful lyrics make this a beautiful closure to a fantastic album.

"No matter what happens now
You shouldn't be afraid
Because I know today has been
The most perfect day I've ever seen" (Videotape)

Fav. Track: Feel good inc.
Most underrated Track: Last Living Souls
Least Fav. Track: White Light

I can see the argument for it being the best Gorillaz album, but I do like the atmosphere of Plastic Beach a little bit more, but with that being said this album is fantastic! The atmosphere is great, the flow is fantastic and I like every track from it.

"Now they're turning us into monsters
Turning us into fire
Turning us into monsters
It's all desire, it's all desire
It's all desire" (Kids with Guns)

Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 5% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 88.8/100, a mean average of 86.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 90.0/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 18.9.

Great chart my dude! Your Plastic Beach quote gave me instant chills, so good to finally see someone who gets it. For that you must hear my strange-beauty recommendation: Pony by Spratleys Japs. I swear it's lauded in far-between circles, there's more life in it than almost everything. Its soul wouldn't be if it were all-beautiful, ugliness can be beauty, here more than most. Give it time if you will as its full form shows itself.

Love the chart, lots of great stuff, I'm a big fan of the Good, the Bad & the Queen in particular, so we share that uncommon set of Damon.

Nice selection of great albums. Might add New Order Substance to my top 100 despite it being a compilation album.

Hmm... not quite edgy enough. Arcade Fire, Stone Roses, and Radiohead all sound pretty anemic to me. No offense; perhaps you're just more chill than I am. Yeah, I think you must be pretty chill to be a Gorillaz fan.
