Although Unknown pleasures might be the better album, for me this is their best work. My favourite song from this album switches every time, Joy Division was far ahead of their time with their sound. Yes it is a really dark album but Ian's voice and the sound of all the instuments still hold up to this time with some of the best bass lines you will ever hear.

Everything on this album sounds beautiful. This is one of my favourite post rock albums, I like laughing stock aswell but this one is the better one in my opinion

At first I didn't really like Sonic Youth, I thought they were a bit boring and their music was slow. But one time my train got delayed and I thought I'd give it another chance to pass the time, and man, I was blown away by their sound. And ever since i have become a big Sonic Youth fan.
