Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart is rated in the top 12% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 87.7/100, a mean average of 86.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 88.2/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 12.5.

Theres not any one pick that I realy dislike, but I feel there's not all that much character to this chart. Maybe most of the choices are just very mainstream for BEA and it reads like someone wouldn't pick outside the top 300. Nothing wrong with a bunch of repeats from the favorite artists, but there are a whole lot of them. I like looking at user charts because there's diversity of taste, and above all, insightful comments about what other people get from the music.
Lots of YES!
Love the grunge and prog choices, as well as some modern greats. 24 in common and our charts are pretty different, which is very interesting
Soft Bulletin, Close to the Edge and Pet Sounds <3
A good mix of classic albums, prog rock and indie. 25 in common with me although our charts are quite different. I like it though. Good work.
30 albums in common!
Nice, balanced list! Love your rankings of Funeral and OK Computer especially.
Wow! 46 in common, and a lot more that I love but aren't in my top 100. Nice!
Yes we can!
