"A hard album to put into words. Beautiful ?? Atmospheric ?? Hypnotic ?? The sense of underlying darkness ?? Whatever it may be this is a brilliant album. Just keeps growing on me and gets better every time. Prog rock on a heavier scale." Reply
"Another good Eels album although it frustrates me slightly with two of my least favourite tracks Lone Wolf and Agony. I think it would have been better without them. "Too bad that the Dandys were so volatile, that they couldn't keep it cohesively together. They put out some great work in a short while, this album being their top. Grooves easily from track to track. A great soundtrack to cocktails and sketchy women." Reply

"Even though they're an American band, the sound and style of this is similar to Primal Scream with a hint of heavier ended Oasis. Not that that's bad because they're very good. Decent album." Reply
