"Peter Tosh was a cool guy. This album proves so. He wrote catchy songs and smoked ganja with a cool looking pipe (as proven in the album cover). When I listened to this I was pretty surprised with how unique some of the tracks were, from the sexy guitar pickin in "Till Your Well Runs Dry" to the ..."  [+]  Reply

"I love the Funky / Soul sound from this album with catchy dance tunes. The instrumentation is authentic and at the time of its release I was just starting to visit night clubs. I can play it today and have no problem reciting the lyrics."  Reply

"I think this is The Pretty Things best album, alongside "SF Sorrow". This is a concept album of sorts, it's the anti-Sgt. Pepper. It has a dark pessimistic mood that incapsulates the late sixties decadence of inner cities."  Reply

"On the group's sixth album Ten Years After are trying to renew their sound and approach - primarily with spacey intros and outros and a more widespread use of the acoustic guitar. Generally, though, it is the familiar formula: a little bit of blues, a little bit rock 'n roll and a couple ballads...."  [+]  Reply

"This is Zappa and the original Mothers' last album (recorded over the same period of Weasels Ripped My Flesh). This masterpiece is a long instrumental ride through the lands of fantasy that does not attempt a definitive system, but finds instead spontaneity and grace of true genius. The centerpie..."  [+]  Reply

"An overlooked great album by Bolan better than *The Slider" and lies 2nd to Electric Warrior for consistency . None of the tracks were released as singles an unusual event back then. Overall the album holds together as a complete unit with Bolan introducing a more soulful sound."  Reply

"An extremely fine acoustic album, one of Martyn's finest with songs that stay with you. Smooth and lovely vocals and production, tinges of jazz at the end that would unfold more in layter albums."  Reply

"I really don't get how this can be the top TYA's album here. Maybe because of the hit "Love Like a Man"? It's not bad, but it's very hard rock oriented, has less of the typical TYA's style (jazzy rhythms, dark bluesy feel), and still Ssssh (which is also quite hard rock oriented) has more memorab..."  [+]  Reply

"Whilst 1977’s ‘(I’m) Stranded’ is the one they’ll be remembered for their best album is up for debate and ‘Eternally Yours’ is certainly in the conversation By the time 1978 came around for The Saints much had happened in the proceeding 12 months including relocation from sleepy Brisbane to the U..."  [+]  Reply

""Black and White", the third Stanglers album, has the distinctive characteristics from the first two albums; the special organ-playing from Dave Greenfield, the heavy and often melodic bass lines from Jean-Jacques Burnel and, of course, Hugh Cornwell’s easily recognizable vocals. What "Black and ..."  [+]  Reply
