"A good, fun, no-frills record that features Clapton getting his freak on with the Delaney and Bonnie/Dominos crew. After Midnight and Let it Rain are the two best known tracks, but Blues Power is a great anthem that sums up what Clapton was all about at this point in his career. Also notable for ..."  [+]  Reply

"(Really unique, insanely creative, album by Iglooghost here. Has opened my eyes to some other new avenues of music listening going forward. I really liked it, and the only thing keeping me from loving it was feeling like the pay offs and peaks weren’t reached very often and the album’s flow was a..."  [+]  Reply

"These guys could do little wrong for me, personally thought this was a strong and consistent set of songs, nothing would have been out of place on a more trendy record by Talk Talk, for eg. Great musicianship and not over produced. Helps it stand up thirty years later."  Reply

"Teenybopper Brit-pop tunes with some funk/Latin characteristics thrown in. A little monotonous but still fairly strong, and worth checking out for fans of artists like The English Beat, Orange Juice, XTC, etc."  Reply

"This is actually the best version of "Hotel California". Side One (on CD) is flawless. Like having honey poured on your ears and Elle MacPherson licking it off, slowly. Shame the honey runs out on CD2 but you can't have everything."  Reply

"Well-crafted folk music, there are some shorter "poppier" tracks and some longer ones, where there is some more interesting stuff going on. The fact that the lyrics are in German is secondary, the main attribute of the album is that it gets you relaxed, it lifts you to a heavenly grassland."  Reply

"My favourite reggae singer's best album. No filler to be found anywhere; this is just banger after banger. Mainly lovers rock, but with a couple of great roots numbers at the end. I was going to list highlights, but I'd just be reciting the track list verbatim. A must listen for even the most cas..."  [+]  Reply
