Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 57.5/100, a mean average of 54.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 54.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 22.0.

Smooth Criminal cover was pretty cool. And the video was even better.
I must admit I was hugely disappointed with this album. After hearing their Smooth Criminal cover, which is excellent btw, I was expecting some sort of funky Faith No More. That is not what I got.
Most of this album is basically "pop metal" (if that's a thing?), which makes it basically unlistenable. Yet, I stuck through it in hope that something would be as cool/catchy/unique as the Smooth Criminal cover is. My perseverance was luckily rewarded.
Attitude, although still containing those over-the-top poppy vocals, had enough going on with the instruments to be relatively salvageable. Right from the beginning, you're treated to bongos, guitar harmonics, and an awesome drum line. But then those vocals come in, and it wrecks what could have been an otherwise okay song. But that's not what I'm talking about when I say there was something as good as the Smooth Criminal cover.
I'm talking about Universe, the final song on the album. The dark tone, strings, and choice of melody and chords reminds one a bit of a darker Signify-era Porcupine Tree. Not to mention the part after the album's over (the "hidden track") which is actually better than 11/13ths of the rest of the album, with probably the only example of acoustic guitar and noticeable keyboards. And it has flute too?!?
Man, if the whole album was like Smooth Criminal, Universe and the hidden track, the album might be worth something. It really is too bad it's not.
Probably arrived about five years too late, because I put this among the likes of Tonic, Everclear, and Matchbox Twenty. Actually, the near perfect way to put AAF is "Tool Lite." I actually think that parts of the album exceed a lot of their more popular mid 90s counterparts. Passing over the massively played Michael Jackson cover, there are a lot of good catchy and well-written songs here like Movies and Attitude. Nobody will be confusing this with The Rolling Stones any time soon, but it's actually pretty decent.
