Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 73.5/100, a mean average of 69.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 68.6/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 16.9.

I'll defend your Aerosmith choices any day. Great band, they deserve to be on your chart.
wow *scroll down* whooooooaa *scroll down some more* wooooooow
I like 2/3 of your selections. However I can not get behind either the Pump or Permanent Vacation selections. Neither can I accept Bridges to Babylon. Easily one of the Stones' worst albums. I'll leave the solo Mick stuff alone. LOL!
a lot of great music here - i like the stones but have to question 2 mick jagger albums in a greatest 50
Pink Floyd and The Who are two great choices, but most of the other stuff is overrated. And seriously... Viva La Vida? What's wrong with their other albums?
There are enough good titles on this list that I can overlook the Aerosmith, Queen, and Boston. Well, sort of overlook anyway.
I like your chart. Alot of great ones in there. I am right with you with all your Stones choices... er what's this? Bridges to Babylon? Really? You did made me take it it from its rightful place in protecting my end table from nasty coffee cup rings to give it another try. I am about 4 songs in and yes Dirty Work it looks like you will be reprieved of your sanitary duties very quickly. I am intrigued. What can you find to love about it?
there's a lot of good, and some bad (american idiot is a blaring black mark, in my opinion.)
