These 100 albums are the ones I could listen to over and over again. I could add about 500 or so more to this list. My goal was one album per artist and I was also trying to represent each decade as equally as possible. I'm not quite there, but getting close.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

i take back my first comment because first i only saw your top 20 which was only like top 200 albums on the overall chart but then i saw you added more unknown albums later on the chart which is great, so i guess i would rate your top 20 20/100 but the rest a 80/100 so im setteling on a 70/100

Sorry to have annoyed you Mdemauri, I didn't mean to. When I said "be honest" it wasn't in a despective way, it's just that it was weird for me to see such a basic list. I'm sure your chart will be better and better with the future updates. And thanks for be so polite in your answer.

Now I understand the "be kind" on the top of page. Talking about classic albums it's a pretty predictable chart. No problem at all. I hope you discover more diverse music in this site to give us interesting choices here. Well... welcome.
ps. my rating is related to its 50 albums.

@Kaiser, I don't mind low ratings, especially on my first crack at a chart here. But saying "be honest"??? That chart is honest. I'm a 48 year old man that grew up listening to and owning all the albums on my chart. You can say it sucks or not your taste, but you don't know me and you cannot call my chart not honest. Any other criticism and critiques that are constructive, I am more than open to. That is why I joined this site. Not be called dishonest...
